A father and his daughters

our roots

Cameron has a lifelong love of woodworking. He has always been drawn to the beauty of mesquite wood. His love of woodworking begin when he was a kid growing up in rural North Texas. His parents set up a very small shop for his brother and him where they had a small lathe and a few hand tools to start. Over the years he acquired more woodworking equipment and taught himself the art of woodworking and furniture making by reading woodworking magazines. Along the way he designed these Texas shaped mesquite wood business card holders among other things. As life happened this item was put to the side over the years as he taught his two daughters the skill of wood turning and woodworking for various 4-H projects. It was their idea to bring this item back to life and showcase the beauty of mesquite wood design.

Sara (pictured right) is a full time mom of two wonderful children. But when she is not wrangling the kids, she takes care of the behind scenes sales and marketing tasks. You will usually find her volunteering at church or the local elementary school or engaged in some domestic matter.

Kristan (pictured left) is a landscape designer by day and the Uniquely Mesquite creative director by night.  In her free time she loves to come up with new projects around the house, designing new UM earrings, and being a crazy cat lady.
